22 juni wordt een bijzondere feestdag: Ariëns Katholieke Studenten Enschede viert zijn 66e dies natalis en Kardinaal Wim Eijk komt naar onze stad als hoofdcelebrant.
ENGLISH BELOW - De dag wordt geopend met een internationale jongerenmis. De feestelijke mis wordt om 10.30 uur gevierd in de Jacobuskerk in het Enschedese stadshart, zo’n 10 minuten vanaf station Enschede. Het Binnenstads Jongerenkoor zorgt voor de muzikale omlijsting. De Kardinaal is die zondag zelf ook jarig. In feite wordt het dus een dubbel feest. Na de mis vindt er een receptie plaats. Hier kunnen zowel de studenten van Ariëns als Kardinaal Eijk gefeliciteerd worden met hun beider jubileum.
Ariëns-voorzitter Koen Kuijpers vertelt: "We zijn erg dankbaar dat al 66 jaar Enschedese Katholieke studenten zich verbonden voelen en hun geloof ontwikkelen door RKS Ariëns. Die dankbaarheid willen we graag delen en wij nodigen dan ook iedereen uit voor ons Dies."
